The Re Institute presents the paintings of Michael Davidson.
These are paintings that, in terms of structure, meaning, and substance, create their own boundaries, and make their own sense within their own gates. The visual sensibility and described world in these works can be simultaneously confounding and convincing, persuasive yet elusive. This state of simultaneity is existence materialized, yet critically slowed. These paintings give us a chance to pause, look, and embrace questions.
